We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land in which we live and tell our tales, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and recognise their continuing connection to Boorloo (Perth) and the surrounding lands and waters of this region. We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Storytelling was and always will be a conduit for their deep connection to the land, its history and the Whadjuk culture, and continues to remind us just how powerful and important storytelling can be.

How it all started

Our Founder and Creative Director, AJ Winters, saw a distinct lack of women in a 'male dominated' hobby and industry - especially in female led Tabletop Roleplaying content online, so she decided to build the first D&D Studio in Australia. Once built and operational with live audio designers, tech operators, sound and lighting effects, and more, Winters Tales went live for our first (of many) Actual Play series, 'The Chronicles of Aelwyn.'

We raised $54k

Inspired by our hit Actual Play series 'Castleton,' we launched a Kickstarter in Oct 2025 for our first TTRPG Setting Book. And succeeded!
